Supported Brokers

The UK CGT Calculator supports activity file exports from the brokers below. Follow the step-by-step instructions to export your transactions and upload them directly to our free CGT calculator.

Interactive Brokers (IBKR) CSV

Interactive Brokers activity statements are the primary supported format. The parser handles stocks, options, bonds, dividends, and interest in a single export.

How to export your IBKR activity statement

  1. Log in to IBKR Client Portal or Trader Workstation (TWS).
  2. Navigate to Performance & Reports → Statements.
  3. Select Activity as the statement type.
  4. Set the date range to cover the full UK tax year: 6 April YYYY to 5 April YYYY+1. For historical pool accuracy, include all years since you first held shares.
  5. Set the format to CSV.
  6. Download the file (named something like Activity_2024-25.csv).
  7. Upload to the CGT Calculator.
Tip: If you have held shares across multiple tax years, download one activity statement per year and upload all files together. The calculator will process them chronologically to build accurate Section 104 pools.

Charles Schwab CSV

Schwab exports in several CSV formats. The calculator auto-detects both standard Schwab exports and Schwab EAC (Equity Award Center) formats used for RSUs and ESPPs.

  3. Set the date range to cover the full UK tax year.

  5. For equity awards (RSUs/ESPP), export from Equity Award Center separately.
  6. Upload one or both CSV files to the CGT Calculator.
